Shares of Engineers India surged over 4% to their 52-week highs on Tuesday, September 22, after the company announced it has bagged an order worth $450 million for the execution of Nigeria-based Dangote Group's Greenfield Refinery & Petrochemical Plant in Kenya. Engineers India order win In an exchange filing published on Tuesday, the Delhi-based Navaratna company said that Dangote Group has inked a contract with EIL as Project Management Consultant (PMC) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) services consultant for this project.

Lagos-based Dangote is setting up a state-of-the-art 700,000 BPD Greenfield Refinery and Petrochemical Plant in Kenya. The company added that the contract agreement is valued at in excess of $ 450 million, or ₹ 4,300 crore, as per recent exchange rates. It also said that the two entities have worked together before, when EIL was the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and EPCM Consultant for the 650,000 BPD Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Complex at Lekki Free Zone, and also worked on its expansion to 1.4 million barrels per day.

On September 18, the PSU reported a turnover of ₹3,849 crore. Furthermore, it also saw its net profit rise to an all-time high of ₹638 crore, according to Chairman and Managing Director Atul Gupta. The company's order book stood at ₹15,109 crore at the end of FY26, while order inflow during the year was ₹7,978 crore.

Engineers India also recorded an improvement in operating profitability, with operating margin rising to 16.22% in FY26 from 14.76% a year earlier. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisations (EBITDA) margin increased to 21.61% from 20.60%. Stock statistics Shares of the company gained more than 4% in intraday trade, but have now eased and are trading with gains of over 2%, at ₹291.

In addition, the stock has made gains of over 60% over the last six months. The stock hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹301.90 during today's intraday trade. The shares are trading 78.32% above the 52-week low of ₹163.55.

Furthermore, the stock has closed in the green in 4 of the last 10 trading sessions.
